Why does my camera resolution 72px?
My camera (Canon EOS 40D) does take pictures with 72dpi. It came with my Nikon D40 for a while, but it has changed. I do not know how. How can I solve this problem?
You do not fix it. There nothing to fix. Ultimately, it is meaningless. Your camera has a 10 megapixel resolution, period. The 72 dpi refers only a print size. Meaning, on the long side of a peak in size around 3888 pixels at 72 dpi, which actually means ppi (pixels per inch) 54 inches. Some software will handle differently. For example my Sony software (Sony A700) shows my 350dpi JPEG, and other software It shows that 72 dpi is Thus, the number of pixels remains the same. You will not win or lose resolution or the other.
